Learning how wildlife reports are handled before building more

I’m Reynaldo Glombowski, founder of Ascendaris, a small Calgary software company. I spend a lot of time outdoors in the Bow Valley and Kananaskis, and I’ve been working on a way for people to report wildlife sightings, including in places with no cell signal.

Before I build more, I want to understand how reports from the public are handled today by the people who receive them and act on them. Through Platform Calgary’s discovery program, I’m talking with area biologists, park staff, conservation officers, researchers and conservation groups across Alberta.
